King’s X frontman dUg Pinnick needs your help

dUg Pinnick Friends and fans of King’s X frontman dUg Pinnick are halfway to raising $25,000 so he can undergo hernia surgery – but they need more support to reach the target.

US resident Pinnick has no health insurance and instead has been forced to continue touring and recording through the pain barrier.

But it’s hoped that can change if the cash can be found.

A statement on the Let’s Give Back To dUg fundraising page says: “He is such a dedicated musician, and all King’s X fans can attest to this.

“We are starting this fundraiser to help dUg to have his surgery and be able to do what he does best without enduring the pain from his hernia.

“dUg is not only one of rock’s greatest musicians of all time, he is also the kindest soul, who takes his time to talk to everyone he encounters. He has been labeled the ‘sweetest guy in the industry.’

“He goes out of his way for everyone, so we felt it was time to rally up and give back. Your generosity is appreciated more than we can say!”

Last year King’s X fans raised $25,000 for drummer Jerry Gaskill, who lost his home in superstorm Sandy soon after having undergone surgery following a heart attack.
