Focus will headline this year’s Summers End Festival, organisers have announced.
They’ve also added Fragile Featuring Claire Hamill, Silhouette plus Sean Filkins And Band to the bill, with more acts to be added in due course.
Summers End boss Stephen Lambe tells Prog Magazine: “We’re pleased to announce Focus – we have found that at the end of a long festival, having an ‘old stager’ usually goes down well. We closed with the Enid last year and Caravan the year before – both went down a storm! Headlining on the Friday night will be returning German band Sylvan. Saturday night we are working on.
“Fragile Featuring Claire Hamill will be taking the special guest slot on Sunday evening, but will be closing the festival. This new version of one of the world’s best-known Yes tributes – having played with both Steve Howe and Alan White – features keyboard player Max Hunt, and, of course, the lead vocal skills of Claire.
“We open the Saturday with another Dutch sensation, Silhouette – one of the most requested acts we’ve ever had. Sean Filkins And Band will open the Sunday following the huge success of 2011 album War And Peace And Other Stories.”
Summers End 2013 takes place on October 4-6 at Lydney Town Hall, Gloucestershire. “Sponsor” and “Hero” tickets are on sale now via www.summersend.co.uk.
