Technical rock act Mutiny On The Bounty have signed to leading UK record label, Best Before, who will release their second album, “Trials”, to a UK audience. After their debut received wide critical acclaim and a release on the respected independent label, Big Scary Monsters, they have taken the next step up with a new home and new sound for album two.
“Trials” was recorded in Seattle with top producer Matt Bayles, famous for his work with Pearl Jam, Mastodon and Fall Of Troy. Their math rock sound now incorporates electronic elements and greater melody without sacrificing the complex musicianship that won them their fanbase in the first place.
The band have said of the collaboration:
“We’re delighted to announce that we’ve signed to Best Before Records to release our second album, “Trials”, an album that finally showcases the sound we have always wanted for the band. Best Before has released album for bands such as Dananananaykroyd, 22, Johnny Foreigner and Sharks and we really can’t wait to come back to the UK and play you the new material…”
Mutiny On The Bounty have previously toured with the likes of Coheed and Cambria, Portugal the Man and And So I Watch You From Afar. After their recent showcase at SXSW, they will tour throughout Europe over the summer and in the UK.
