The Enid – New 2cd Set

The Enid - Live at Town Hall Birmingham

The Enid - Live at Town Hall Birmingham

The Enid have just released a 2CD set live recording of “The Enid – Live at Town Hall Birmingham”.  This live recording made on April 16th 2010 is a memento of a future-changing event ushering in a new chapter for The Enid. This is how it was on the night; no airbrushing – rather an honest record of a shy self effacing and humble band giving their all to their fans.
For technical reasons, this CD set contains a different mix from that on sound track of the separately released DVD “The Enid – Live at Town Hall Birmingham”. (The DVD soundtrack is more dynamic, designed for a quiet listening environment).

The DVD - which was made and funded entirely by the fans – also contains an hour’s worth of extensive interviews with the band members. These interviews took place during the recording of Journey’s End in the run up to the show. Robert John Godfrey and Dave Storey talk frankly and openly about the history of The Enid – the ups and downs – the fights – the achievements, much of this will be an eye opener even for those who already know the band well.  The project has been a collaboration of the willing drawn from both professionals and others, who under the umbrella of CASA films, have together produced a unique fly on the wall, “take it as it happens” record of this courageous artistic effort.
