Former iQ vocalist returns with stolen bass player

Former iQ vocalist Paul Menel has been working on a new solo album with amongst others John Jowitt (ex-Arena, ex-iQ) and John Mitchell (Arena, Frost* and pretty much every other band in the universe).

We have just finished our debut album with producer Gavin Monaghan. Musical excerpts from the forthcoming album and a lot more about us can be found at our myspace page, and you don’t need an account to listen!

The album will be called ‘ THREE SIDES TO EVERY STORY’, a sampler cd featuring 5 UNEDITED songs from this masterpiece will be available at all gigs on our forthcoming mini tour, or tourette (no sudden outbursts of profanities, please)!
The tour and the sampler cd are, of course, only ‘Part Of The Story’……………………

The full band line-up is as follows:

Paul Menel (songwriter/ vocals / 6 & 12 string guitars)
Ian Diment (co writer / keyboards)
John Mitchell (guitar)
John Jowitt (bass guitar)
Bill Devey (drums)
Mat Taylor (sax, flute)
Emma Skipp (backing vocals)

The band will embark on a short tour at the end of January. You can expect to hear songs from Paul’s new album, as well as material from his stint with iQ and a few more surprises.

  1. Ed says:

The header suggests that John left IQ to join Paul Menel’s band. This most certainly is not the case.
