KIAMA new project from ROB REED ( Magenta) and ANDY EDWARDS ( Frost*/IQ)

Kiama

Tigermoth Records introduce Kiama, the new band featuring Rob Reed (Magenta/Kompendium), Andy Edwards (Frost*/IQ), Luke Machin (Maschine/The Tangent) and Dylan Thompson (Shadow of The Sun/The Reasoning).

Kiama’s debut album ‘Sign of IV’ was recorded at Peter Gabriel’s ‘Real World’ studio.

The first promo video features the song ‘Cold Black Heart’ which was mixed by Jem Godfrey from Frost* (view below).

Rob Reed (Keyboards and Bass) “We drew from a pool of musical references from the early seventies who were primarily thought of as rock bands, but to me were responsible for some of the greatest ‘Prog’ epics. Led Zeppelin’s “Kashmir” and “Stairway to Heaven”, Rainbow’s “Stargazer” and Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” were the order of the day. It was all about the melody, groove and the songs, not musical widdle“.

“There was no point in doing what each of us had done previously in our respective bands, the goal was to do something different “, says drummer Andy Edwards.

The album will be released in January 2016, but there is an opportunity NOW to join the ‘Kiama Club’, where you will receive the tracks before the official release and also be able to purchase a special 3 disc set, which includes 2 CDs and a DVD with a plethora of videos and 5.1 mixes.
