After a variety of musical adventures all across Europe, Dutch singer/pianist Maaike Breijman and drummer/keyboard player Remco Engels are finding their own sound in this wonderful project, The Mycah Principle. They are starting a new adventure in Philadelphia (U.S.A.). With the eccentric producer Francis Dunnery (It Bites, Santana, Robert Plant), they have started recording their first album. The record is all about what truly matters to them: their own authentic sound.
Singer/dancer/performer Maaike Breijman has a talent that exceeds boundaries. She manages to give audiences across Europe Goosebumps during her show Dreaming of Kate, a show displaying the highlights of Kate Bush’ career, with a live band, dance routines, props and costumes. She has toured along theatres like Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London, and made an appearance on BBC’s The One Show in August 2015.
Remco Engels (drums/keyboards) used to work with Maaike back in 2008. He is known as the drummer of Dutch prog rock band Mangrove and tours as a keyboard player/percussionist with Cuban band Anima Mundi.
Now, once again, Maaike and Remco unite once again in The Mycah Principle: a musical match that seems to exclude coincidence in every way, shape or form. This is a musical match made in heaven.
