IT'S HERE AT LAST: SEVEN STORIES INTO '98!

For many years, IQ fans that weren't familiar with the band's early history
have been asking for the original1982 cassette album 'Seven Stories into
Eight' to be re-released on CD. The band have resisted the temptation to
release these early home recordings for many years, but with the recent
success of 'Subterranea' the clamour to hear them has become deafening. The
band have responded by releasing a Limited Edition double CD entitled 
'Seven Stories into '98' This features one CD featuring new recordings of
the 'Seven Stories' material, together with a bonus CD using the best 
availabble recordings of the original cassette album.

It was felt that although the recording quality of the original leaves 
much to be desired, the songs from that period form a vital missing link in
IQ's long history, and to re-record them using 90's technology was an
irrestistible proposition. The result is a fascinating comparison between
the rawness of the IQ of 16 years ago, and the power and finesse of the
current band. The quality of the songwriting is finally given an opportunity 
to shine in these new recordings, which alsofeature a re-written version
of 'Eloko', a track which featured in the very earliest IQ shows. A 16 page
colour booklet fully documents the story behind all these early songs, and
all in all, this is an essential purchase for everyone interested in IQ.
